MetaMask has launched gas sponsorship — and Monad is the first network where it's available.
Starting today, MetaMask covers network fees automatically for eligible transactions on Monad. To qualify, you need at least 10 MON in your wallet (with 10 MON remaining after the transaction). Any kinds of transactions on Monad count - swaps, sends, and other dApp interactions.
Under the hood, MetaMask uses smart accounts (EIP-7702). Your wallet upgrades automatically on your first eligible transaction; no manual steps required.
While other networks have announced plans to support this functionality eventually, Monad users have it now.
