Monad is a founding member of the Open Transaction Layer, an open protocol stack building the coordination layer for compliant onchain transactions. OTL gives institutions, wallets, and agents a shared way to identify each other, exchange compliance data, and settle across chains, which is the piece that has been missing as onchain finance scales toward institutional volume.
Monad joins through the Blockchain Payments Consortium alongside five other blockchain foundations. OTL is chain-agnostic by design, so the coordination layer works across all of them. The Blockchain Payments Consortium is shaping better payment experiences for everyone.
Monad's institutional thesis rests on being open, and a shared standard for compliant onchain transactions is how institutional capital moves across chains with confidence. Being part of OTL as the specifications get built puts Monad inside the infrastructure that institutions will settle on.
